Announcing the launch of a brand new meal planning tool, complete with tried and true, stress-free, delicious recipes from my personal kitchen! (Details below.)
This weekend my dear friend Lily helped me start a garden.
For years now, she’s heard me announce, “I’m starting a garden this spring!” only to watch me fold with analysis paralysis. Where should it go? Raised beds or not? Maybe I don’t have time? And so on.
On Sunday she showed up with landscaping fabric and the gentle reminder that it doesn’t take much to get started. You just have to start.
We laid out the space with fabric, made a materials list, and just like that, my garden is underway!
Today, I want to tell you about something else I’ve been holding back on for fear it’s not “perfect” or “ready.”
After writing my last cookbook, I’ve been exploring ways to serve you. Many of you chimed in on my polls with, “recipes for easy, weeknight dinners!!!”
Heard.
I thought a lot about what works for our family, and how after having two kids, I got back on track cooking unfussy meals with one simple, powerful tool: meal planning. (My twin, Dimity, encouraged me to try it.)
Announcing…
Now, I want to offer YOU a meal planning tool, complete with tried and true, stress-free, delicious recipes from my personal kitchen! (I test everything on my kids, and their playmates).
I’ve been tweaking this tool over and over again, and it’s finally time to launch it!!!
Today, instead of giving you ONE recipe, I’m giving you EIGHT.
To kick you off, you can download my free, one-week meal plan, which includes 6 dinner recipes, 1 snacky dessert recipe, 1 dressing recipe, an Instacart & printable shopping list, food prep lists, and *component cooking* options. This is my method for feeding adventurous and picky eaters, without cooking two dinners!
Hungry for more?
If my free guide is helpful and you love it, you can sign up for a monthly subscription with a 30-day free trial!
Every month I’ll send you a similar, seasonally-themed meal plan to help you transform dinner into cherished family time. The recipes will be designed to highlight the same ingredients, avoid food waste, and minimize spending. I’ll include additional perks like discounts on stays at Firelight Camps and products from my favorite food brands, as well as first dibs on class registrations, and more! I’ll also include tips for cooking with kids (if you have ‘em!). Review all the deets here.
These one-week plans can serve as a template for the month, or if you don’t want to - or can’t - cook six dinners in a week, you can cherry pick one or two per week, and use the relevant prep lists.
BONUS: For ease, you can print and 3-hole punch the booklet, and put it in a binder to begin collecting my latest “cookbook” (that I’m not offering anywhere else!).
As I roll this out, I’m sure things will be bumpy. Please don’t be shy in letting me know how I can improve, and sharing any desires for recipes and methods you want to learn!
I’m really excited to begin cooking for you - and hopefully supporting you - in this new way. Thank you for being on this journey with me!
With lilacs blooming (and Lilac Honey!),
♡ Emma
P.S. Please consider sharing this email with a friend who could use a little backup in the kitchen!
Help me find the right newsletter name
If you have time, I’d love your thought on my newsletter’s name. I picked “Time For Dins” because: a) it’s what I say every evening at home, sometimes while ringing a bell, b) it suggests making “time” for dinner and also that it’s actually time to eat, c) it has a nice ring. But, are there other names you think would be better? Please tell me!
